New Penn Foster Research Examines How Veterinary Technicians Could Help Expand Access to Care

Penn Foster’s new research with The Harris Poll explores the gap between rising pet wellness spending and access to veterinary care. While 57% of pet owners say they are spending more on pet wellness, 36% have delayed or skipped veterinary care. The findings also show that more than half of credentialed veterinary technicians say their clinical expertise is not fully utilized. The report highlights how enabling technicians to work to the full extent of their training could help practices improve efficiency, support retention and expand access to care.
